My Approach to therapy

I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California (#152066). I earned my master’s in clinical psychology at Antioch University in Los Angeles.
I didn’t start out in this field. I’ve run a bar on a Greek island, done graphic design, gone back to school a few times, and gathered a couple of degrees on the way. I’m also in recovery, and that keeps me honest about change and how hard it can be.
I see the world through an existential/ Buddhist/ Philosophical lens: it shapes how I work. I don’t believe in giving people a set of rules for how to live, though I do think a bit of homework can help between sessions. Sometimes things click fast; sometimes it’s a process of slow and steady clarification.
Fundamentally, therapy is a conversation where we figure things out together.
That means I’ll ask questions, such as "what's not working in your life?"
The second part of the question being: "What are you willing to change?”
So if you think we might be a good fit, get in touch.

Would we be a good fit?

I work with LGBTQ+ clients, people questioning their relationship with substances, and anyone working toward more authenticity in their relationships, and in their life. My background in the arts helps me be of help to creative folks of all kinds.
